NJC Fund

A foundation to steward the College’s endowment

In 1997, the NJC Canadian Advisory Committee unanimously endorsed the establishment of the NJC Fund, a separate charitable organization. The NJC Fund’s priority is the long-term preservation and stewardship of our endowment assets, through focused attention to investment strategies and activities.

An independent NJC Fund Committee has been established for The NJC Fund, which currently holds an endowment of $450,000. Endowment income is used to support student financial aid, capital improvements and facility upkeep, curriculum and program enhancement and school awards. The NJC Fund endowments will support NJC in perpetuity through an annual disbursement to the College, protecting the principal and reinvesting additional earnings so that the funds grow over time.

You may wish to establish named endowed funds in support of NJC to commemorate or honour friends and family. A named endowment stands as a lasting tribute, while providing essential support to our students. An individual or organization may establish a named endowed fund through a gift of $50,000 or more to the NJC Fund, which may be designated in support of a particular project or program. A gift to establish a named endowed fund may be pledged as smaller installments over a period of up to five years.

There are many ways to make a gift to NJC’s endowment. Contact Ms. Barbara Sutton, Director of Advancement .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
